Why do you charge money?

Podfeeder is a product of Perpetual Advancement, which is a business. Naturally, part of running a business, is that you have to at least try to make some money. Otherwise, you're really just a hobby or a pet-project. We aren't out to rule the world or anything like that. Just trying to make some useful technology.

What we are trying to do is incrementally build a high quality piece of software. Each release of the Podfeeder client and website (including daily maintenance of the directory) takes a significant amount of effort and time.

In addition to these "time" costs, we of course have the costs of hosting the site. Providing bandwidth and reliable, quick connections to the internet doesn't come for free. Again, not something you'd find with a hobby or pet-project hosted out of the home.

So where did we come up with FREE ? Our primary concern was affordability. We wanted something that was easily attainable by most everyone out there. What we didn't want was something that was unjustifiably expensive.

So what you get is a good piece of software that will in some way or another be continually improving. You even have the added benefit of using our Contact form to give us suggestions or ideas that will actually be taken into account. All of this and you aren't breaking the bank for it.
